You don’t really realise how much you rely on your appliances until one of them happens to break down. If your Westinghouse fridge was to stop working how would you cope without having somewhere to keep your food cold? One of the most important things you should do, in case you are to ever find yourself in such a situation, is to make sure that you contents insurance is kept up to date, that way your insurance can cover the cost of repairs or replacing the machine.

Washing machine
If your washing machine was to break down it is easy enough to take your clothes down to the nearest laundromat. Make sure you take plenty of gold coins and a good book or magazine to read because it can be a bit time consuming sitting waiting for a load of washing. If you are unable to get out of the house to do this because you have young children to care for or you work full time, you might be able to make use of a friends or family members machine in the short term until you can get yours repaired or replaced. If all these options are not available to you then you can wash your clothes by hand. Buy some good laundry soap and either use your laundry sink or if bigger items you can wash them in the bath. You will find that hand washed items will take longer to dry because it is hard to squeeze all the water out of them and you can’t get quite as much water out of your clothes as your spin cycle on your washing machine does.

Dishwasher
It is not the end of the world if your dishwasher breaks down, it just means you need to do your dishes the old fashioned way, by hand. To get the best results when hand washing dishes you need to have your water as hot as possible, so you will need rubber gloves. You don’t need to use much detergent and if you don’t have a drying rack it would be a good idea to buy one. They aren’t expensive and can be bought from the supermarket.

Fridge
If your Westinghouse fridge breaks down you need to work quickly to transfer everything into an esky it keep it cool before it spoils. You can buy ice from petrol station, which you should place around the items in your esky. Stand the esky in your bath as your bathroom is usually the coolest room in the house and if your esky happens to leak the water is only going to run down the plug hole.

Hot water service
If your hot water service breaks down this can be a huge inconvenience, particularly in winter, but you can manage without it in the short term. If you can handle cold showers then by all means jump right on in, but you can boil the kettle and heat water on the stove so that you can have a warm bath. You could also use the shower at the gym or local swimming pool, although you will have to pay for the privilege. While you are there you might as well go for a swim or do a workout.

Long after the removalists have been and gone, there are a few things you need to do to mitigate risks in your new home. Sure, you can do this by taking out the relevant policies like home and contents insurance, but this isn’t the only way you can mitigate risks in and around the home… especially if you have young children.

Over the last ten years or so the market has overflown with products that promise to be the best child-proofing money can buy. But before you shell out your well-earned cash, let’s identify the risks firsts. The best way to do this is to crawl through your house to get a toddler’s view of your home. This will help you to identify what is and isn’t a potential risk and will give you ideas on how to mitigate them.

As a general rule of thumb you should:

1.	Secure your cupboard doors with childproof safety latches – but remember that this won’t stop overzealous children from gaining access to your cupboards, it will merely deter them. With this in mind, it is good practice to keep all dangerous items (including cleaning solutions and knives) in cupboards that are locked permanently or, better yet, are completely out of a child’s reach.

2.	Cover all electrical wall sockets with plastic plugs – this will stop any mishaps that may occur as a result of children sticking their toys or tiny fingers in wall sockets.

3.	Put protective covers on any sharp edges – this includes cupboards, tables, benches, seats… basically any type of furniture.

4.	Fasten a hook-and-eye latch high up on all of your doors – this will ensure that children cannot access rooms that could be dangerous to them.

5.	Install smoke detectors in all areas of your house to prevent any dangers that may result in relation to fire.

6.	Remove all refrigerator magnets – this might sound extreme, but there have been a significant amount of accidents in which children have choked on magnets that have fallen off the fridge after it has been slammed.

7.	Have an emergency plan – just in case the unthinkable happens, have a plan. Program the speed dial on your phone with phone numbers for your local police station, ambulance, hospital, GP, and even 000.

Once you feel that you have child-proofed your home adequately, it’s now time to test it out again. So jump on your hands and knees and crawl around the home for another inspection. Looks for anything that is loose and dangling, begging to be pulled. Your entertainment system might have unruly cords or your tablecloth might overhang too much – all of these little things need to be corrected for the safety of your child.

A playground is a place where children can enjoy and play with their friends and family. This is a place where they can retreat to when they want to relax after spending a busy day at school and many other obligations. There are different playground sets that are installed in playgrounds, and they all give children a chance to release some energy and have fun. As an adult, you yourself know all about the need to escape from stress of your complete busy day.

Your children might have less stress than you, but they still need to have a healthy environment because this will affect their growth and development. By incorporating a kids playground on your property and installing right playground set, you can give your children that exact escape that they require. Playing outside is a best way to allow your children to get exercise and fresh air. Proper maintenance is also required to keep your backyard safe and enjoyable place for your kids as well as their friends to play and learn with each other.

The main aim of doing this is preventing or protecting the children from getting any injury or issue before it occurs. First step that needs to be done is to purchase a quality playset that does not have joints or attachments made of metal as these can rust or corrode easily. Wooden playground sets are considered to be the best option for personal backyard playgrounds. In your neighborhood playgrounds, you will see plastic play sets as vandals can easily damage wood play sets. When it is situated in your own backyard and this is not an issue, wood easily becomes the material of choice.

To prevent accidents, you should closely examine different aspects of a kids playground set on a regular basis. You should check and change the pieces of equipment that may not be in the greatest of shape anymore. Any protrusions or disconnected parts could scratch children or catch on clothing, making them a safety hazard. You should also maintain an even level of surfacing material under your backyard playground set because if the level is not balanced, your child may get hurt. Maintaining an even level is also very essential as uneven level of gravel, mulch, wood chips or any other material that is used can hurt the children or can also trip them.

In many playground sets, where less maintenance is required, you can do the repairing job yourself. For large breakages and other damage that is caused to the kids play sets, you would have to call a maintenance worker for doing the job. You will require less maintenance for your play set if it is manufactured using superior quality material and your children do not abuse the equipment. You will be benefited with numerous advantages after installing a superior quality play set in your own backyard or front yard.

The best part about decorating your home is that you need not be a professional home interior designer to decorate your home beautifully. A wall decoration project comprises of things like proportion, balance, scale, texture, variety, color, size and the list is long.
Arrange for a gallery wall:
Locate some focal point sand learn about dimensions before venturing out on wall decoration of your home. Draw a rough plan on a piece of paper before actually starting with the decorating. Put some photo frames on one wall of your living room and you will create a beautiful gallery wall. Measure the distance between the art piece, so that there is equal spacing between them. Select one picture that would serve as the gallery’s main attraction. You can also hang some frames without pictures as this form of decoration is in vogue.

Photo collage
You can get more creative while decorating the walls of your personal room. Buy a wall-safe tape and start slapping your collection of photos on the wall of your room. But make sure to paste them in a sequence. Start from your childhood photos and then add photos of kindergarten and then high school, college, your wedding photos and go on further.

Contemporary wall art

You can buy a full-length mirror for your room, as it will bring more light into the room. You can decorate the borders with paint pens.

If Christmas is at your house this year then don’t panic. There are a few easy tips you can follow to make sure that your Christmas party goes off without a hitch. Being organised is the key and to make it memorable try doing something a little different from the usual formal sit down lunch with roast turkey. You could have your Christmas lunch outdoors under the patio or in the shade of a tree. You might want to make your Christmas party a pool party and have a really casual family get together. Have your pool looking its best by clearing out the pool filter and vacuum up all the leaves.

Be Organised Early

Probably one of the best things you can do with any party is get yourself organised early. This includes working out your guest list, planning your menu, sorting out whether you have enough chairs and where you are going to source more, what music you might have playing, what sort of decorations you want to have as your Christmas theme and whether or not everybody is going to be exchanging gifts.

Send out invitations early, either by mail, email or phone everyone. Christmas is a time of year where people get booked up quickly so get in first to ensure you have maximum attendance. If you are having a meal at your house on Christmas day with family this is something that is usual worked out months before, or you might have some sort of rotation where everyone has a turn at having Christmas at their house.

Plan your Menu

Start planning your menu a few weeks before Christmas, but if you need to order your turkey or seafood you might have to look at sorting out your menu a couple of months in advance. You might want to have a traditional Christmas fare with turkey, roast vegetables, ham, Christmas pudding and all the trimmings, or you could go for something more casual and have seafood, cold ham, salads and an ice cream pudding.

Formal or Casual?

Do you like to have a more traditional formal Christmas with a fancy meal using your best silverware or is a Christmas outdoors around the barbecue more your scene? Either way is a great way to celebrate Christmas and to spend time with family and friends. For a formal Christmas decorate your table with candles, holly, tinsel and Christmas decorations. Set out your good tableware and serve up turkey with cranberry sauce, ham, pudding and finish with Christmas cake.

Choose the best wines you can afford with a nice sparkling wine to go with the start of the meal. If you choose to have a casual Christmas lunch fire up the barbecue and cook some prawns or bake a whole fish. You can even cook a turkey in a Weber barbecue. Pavlova is a great dessert on a warm day, as well as fresh fruit salad, or you can serve Christmas pudding cold.

Decorations

To get into the festive spirit make sure you decorate your house. As well as the Christmas tree decorate the table and hang tinsel, baubles and other decorations around the room.

Presents

Know beforehand whether or not your family is exchanging presents. Some families go all out and buy presents for each family member, others don’t bother at all. If you are watching your spending perhaps organise a Kris Kringle, where each family member buys one gift for one other family member. It needs to be sorted out a few months before who buys for who, but it is an effective way of enjoy Christmas without having to spend a fortune.

Public Service Efforts Help Global Community Communications Alliance Realize Goals

In the 22 years since its inception, Global Community Communications Alliance has initiated countless public service efforts throughout the Southern Arizona community and around the world. When it was first established by Gabriel of Urantia and Niánn Emerson Chase, Global Community Communications Alliance Church was comprised of merely five individuals. Today, it has evolved into a prototype intentional community with over 100 international change agents living in an Eco-Village and serves as a model for spiritual living to be duplicated, one day, in several sector locations. In addition to a multitude of supporters worldwide, Global Community Communications Alliance also includes a large congregation of local residents, home study courses, and Resident and Community Member Initiate Programs. At the heart of their loving ministry is the desire to enlighten others to the teachings of the Urantia Book and the Fifth Epochal Revelation, the Cosmic Family Volumes.

Members of Global Community Communications Alliance Break Down Barriers Through Community Outreach

Members of Global Community Communications Alliance seek to share with others the concept of One God. To achieve this goal, they engage in various humanitarian and public service efforts, as well as missionary work. Through these initiatives, members also strive to disseminate this revelatory work along with the Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation; the Cosmic Family Volumes. This has reached world-wide proportions.

Through significant social service and humanitarian projects, Global Community Communications Alliance has touched the lives of those in desperate need of emotional and physical support. GCCA is proud to be a driving force behind such vital community healthcare facilities as the Soulistic Medical Institute and Soulistic Hospice. Global Community Communications Alliance members firmly believe in the benefits of a holistic approach to health and the importance of nourishing not only the physical body, but also the soul.

In order to reach the widest range of potential members in their community, Global Community Communications Alliance has utilized many diverse approaches to sharing their teachings and message. Art, publications and theatrical performances are just a few of the successful forms of ministry carried out by the church.

A lot of people are not aware of the real nature of a drilling rig. A drilling rig is actually a machine which creates holes on the ground called “boreholes” or shafts in the ground. What is its purpose? A drilling rig is mainly used to sample sub-surface mineral deposits; test rock, soil, and groundwater physical properties; and is used to install sub-surface fabrications. These sub-surface fabrications may include underground utilities, instrumentation, tunnels, or wells.

A drilling rig can be differentiated by the size of the equipments used. There are massive structures that housed equipments used to drill water wells, oil wells, or natural gas extraction wells. It can be small enough to be moved manually by one person. It can also be mobile equipment mounted on trucks, tracks or trailers, or it can be permanent land or marine-based structures.

Oil companies are operating worldwide and in different environments such as offshore, in jungles, deserts, swamps, in residential areas and a whole lot more. Because modern rigs are using environmentally safe technology, extracting of oil is now less environmentally risky.

Drilling rigs are very important for humanity as people are dependent on water for survival, especially in developing nations where they are dependent on groundwater. The oil and gas extracted are important for industries and for
